Audit Helper is a Chrome extension that adds team assignment to the CCH Axcess Engagement Organizer. This policy describes what it handles and where that data goes.
The short version
Audit Helper sends your data to one place: a Google Sheet that you create and control. The publisher operates no servers, receives no data, and has no access to your sheet.
What the extension handles
Request item data. On a CCH Engagement Organizer page, the extension reads the request-item list the page has already loaded — item descriptions, sections, due dates and completion states. It does not fetch anything from CCH on its own.
Team member names and email addresses. Read from the engagement's own participant roster, and used to populate the assignee list and to address notification emails.
Assignments you create. Who an item is assigned to, your internal due date, status and any notes.
Your configuration. The URL of your Apps Script web app and its shared secret, held in Chrome's extension storage. The secret is stored so it can authenticate your requests, and is never transmitted anywhere except to your own web app.
Your filter preference. Which assignee filter you last selected, stored locally.
Where it goes
To your Google Sheet, via the Apps Script web app you deploy — and nowhere else.
There is no publisher-operated backend. No analytics, telemetry, tracking, advertising or fingerprinting of any kind. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties.
Once data reaches your sheet it is governed by your own Google account and your organization's policies, not by this extension.
Emails
The companion Apps Script sends assignment notices, due-date reminders, overdue nudges and a weekly digest to the team members you assign work to, plus a daily activity digest to whoever is running the engagement. Who receives the digests, and when the mail goes out, is configured on the sheet’s Settings tab. Those emails are sent by your Google account, from your Apps Script deployment. The publisher neither sends nor receives them.
Retention and deletion
The extension keeps no data of its own beyond the configuration and filter preference described above. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes both.
Assignment history lives in your sheet for as long as you keep it. Delete the sheet, or rows within it, to delete that data.
Security
Requests to your Apps Script web app are authenticated with a shared
secret you generate and distribute to your team. Anyone holding both the
web app URL and that secret can read and write the assignment data in
your sheet, so treat them as credentials. You can rotate the secret at
any time by deleting the SHARED_SECRET script property and
re-running the setup function.
The extension requests access only to the CCH Engagement Organizer domain and to Google Apps Script. It cannot read any other site.
Children
Audit Helper is a professional tool, not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date, and in the Web Store listing.
