Audit Helper.

Your auditor's request list tells you what they need. It doesn't tell you who on your team is doing it, or when it's due on your side. Audit Helper adds that to the CCH Engagement Organizer — and your auditor sees none of it.

Three chips on every row

Each request item picks up an owner, an internal due date and a status, sitting right under the description the auditor wrote. Click any chip to change it. Everything lives in a Google Sheet your team shares, and reminder emails go out automatically.

The CCH Engagement Organizer request list with an owner, due-date and status chip beneath each item, and an 'Assigned to' dropdown beside the organizer's own tabs
Everything in colour under each item is Audit Helper; everything else is CCH. The due date starts on whatever the auditor asked for — move it earlier if you want lead time. Demonstration engagement; names and district invented.

The extension never writes to CCH

It reads the request list the page has already loaded and draws on top of it. Nothing is sent to the auditor, nothing is changed in the engagement, and no data reaches Applause Consulting — there is no publisher backend at all. Full detail in the privacy policy.

Find your own work

An Assigned to dropdown sits next to the organizer's own Pending and Completed tabs — a separate control on purpose, so the two combine. Pending + My items gives you your outstanding work, which a sixth tab couldn't express.

Everyone
Everything — the default
My items
Just yours
Unassigned
Nobody has picked it up yet
A teammate
Just theirs

Each option shows a count, and empty sections collapse — so "My items" is a short list rather than a wall of headers.

Statuses that keep themselves in step

Status runs Open → In Progress → Ready → Submitted → Done, and reminders stop once something is Submitted or Done. Mark an item Completed in CCH and the tracker follows; if the auditor rejects it, it drops back to In Progress and the reminders start again, because it needs rework. A status you set by hand stays put until CCH's own state actually changes.

The emails

You’ve been assigned something
Right away
Due soon
7am, three days before your internal due date
Overdue
7am daily, until it’s done
Weekly digest
Monday 7am — everything still open, per person
Daily digest
7am on weekdays — what moved yesterday, what’s overdue

The daily digest is different — it reports on everyone, for whoever is running the engagement rather than working the items: what moved yesterday, what’s overdue, how much is open per person, and what nobody has picked up. Who gets it, and when the mail goes out, is set on the sheet’s Settings tab.

A minute after you assign something, a note in the corner of the screen confirms the email went out — or tells you it couldn’t.

They’re sent by a Google Apps Script running in your own account, against your own sheet.

The toolbar button

Click the Audit Helper icon in Chrome’s toolbar — pin it from the puzzle-piece menu if it isn’t there — to open the shared sheet itself, or the connection settings. It opens from cache, and keeps showing the link even while the sheet is briefly unreachable.

Setting it up

One person does it once: create a Google Sheet, paste in the companion Apps Script, deploy it as a web app, and hand out two values. Everyone else just installs the extension and pastes them in.
